The major (Al-Kabira) sins in Islam and their salvation
The sin is the activity which itself harmful for man, that’s why Allah-Almighty forbids in Islam. There are several kinds of sins in which some are Al-Saghira (minor) and others are Al-Kabira (major). Minor sins such as to abuse someone, to make dispute as for nothing, bad behaviour, looking at unlawful woman etc. are forgiven through the good deeds. As the Allah (SAW) says,’’ you must avoid from major sins and I shall forgive your minor sins through your good deeds. However, the major sins are those which are harmful to Islam as well as for man itself. There are some different opinions regarding major sins. Some scholars tie them with seven such as: 1. Associate something with Allah-Almighty 2. Magic 3. Murder of someone 4. Consuming the property of an orphan 5. Devouring usury 6. Turning back when the army advances 7.
